There is not much around that actually run model railroad signals, let alone operate like the prototype. Well, at least not without a gaggle of wiring under the layout, and a MESS to troubleshoot...

WE HAVE A PRODUCT THAT IS REALISTIC AND OPERATES PROTOTYPICAL!!!
We have designed, and manufactured the FIRST, Plug-n-play signal control system, that is EASILY installed on existing layouts, without ANY major tear up of your Empire!!!
NO PROGRAMMING, NO WIRE NESTS FROM LAYER TO LAYER, AND BLOCK TO BLOCK!!!
We use a simple small ribbon cable, and connection. EVERYTHING connects via the 'BUSS', and the Dispatch Panel switches, and LED'S!!
It is all micro-controller operated, and is ready to be assembled, and operate/install! Any type of interface can be used, it is a digital positive logic(5VDC), and can work with a multitude of detection sensors. Infra Red works extremely well, as you can hide it well under the track bed, and only a small drilled hole through for the wires.(3)
These type of detectors offer a far better option than others, because using current sensing, you must have conductive wheel sets, and the like. THAT cost a BUNDLE!! We have seen prices as low as 20 of these IR detectors, for only $10 bucks!!! ON EBAY!! At 1 every 12 inches, as recommended, that is a bundle of savings, and simple installation!!!

Block Detector Interface Board - Kit
Positive Logic, TTL compatible signal used on on this detector Interface, can be used to interface a multitude of detection sensors. As long as you have the output, with a positive logic, 5-volt signal, it will work this system. This interface also adds 3 outputs, for other uses, such as individual Detector Output, making it easy to interface Road Grade Crossings, and servos for gates, and many other possible uses. EVEN exact position outputs, so your consist can be track exactly where it is,

ATC - Bi-Directional Signal Controller.
This signal Controller, is used for single, double, or however many tracks you may have. It manages the single track, between Controlled Zones.(CTC). They are automatic. No programming, nothing but set a jumper, and plug it in to the system, and you have a simple, powerful signal system being built!!!
